Resident Evil Village

When Resident Evil 7 came out, I was pretty disappointed with the direction that Capcom went with it. It is not a bad game by any means, but the first-person perspective did not sit well with me, and it lost some of what I loved about previous titles in the series (I am looking at you, Umbrella Corp).

Thankfully, we have an exciting new installment in the franchise coming our way, and it looks like it will be bringing back some of the best features from previous entries while bringing something fresh to the table as well!

A new generation of survival horror is here with Resident Evil 8 Village, the eighth major entry in the Resident Evil series. Powered by the RE Engine and ultra-realistic graphics, fight to survive as danger lurks around every corner. The story begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living in a new location, free from past nightmares, a few years after the events in Resident Evil 7 biohazard.

Tragically, just when they are building their new life together, tragedy strikes again. After Chris Redfield, the captain of the BSAA attacks their home, Ethan must once again go into hell to get his daughter back.

Resident Evil 8 Village Pc Game Overview

In this article, I want to talk about my first impressions of resident evil 8 or resident evil village as it’s called. These games come out on 7 May 2021 for almost everyone. I’ve completed them so far. I thought I would give you quick thoughts on what I think about the game so far. As an avid fan of Capcom’s Resident Evil series, I have been playing a lot of RE8 since its release on Friday. Let me get it out of my system now: There is nothing new about it. It still has ridiculous puzzles, clunky controls, and awkward camera angles. The graphics are kind of nice but there is not much else to talk about them.

The lack of character development leads you to believe that maybe someone left out a few pages in your script or something but by god they better add some new things to these games before I make some comments in public! This review is solely based on my experience with single-player story mode, multiplayer is only available post-launch so no comments there as well!

General Mood

Since Resident Evil 7 biohazard was released a year ago, fans of horror and survival games have eagerly been awaiting its sequel. Capcom and its loyal fanbase promise to deliver a much more action-packed experience than its predecessor, and on paper, it seems like an easy win for another great game in the series. Unfortunately, it ends up falling short of what many were hoping for.

The good news is that I didn’t hate my time with Resident Evil 8 villages; I just wish that Capcom had pushed themselves harder. This is a pretty barebones entry in terms of story but as long as you’re looking for fun gunplay you might be satisfied with what you get here.

Sound Design

A game’s soundtrack can have a huge impact on how we experience that game. In horror games, for example, sound design has to be executed very effectively to deliver suspense and fear. So here’s what I did: I turned off all of my speakers except for my subwoofer and played through a few levels of Resident evil 8 villages: Biohazard with it maxed out—and it was terrifying.

Horror Factor (creatures, cutscenes)

The horror factor in Resident evil villages is high. These games are made for a mature audience, and if you’re not one to sleep with a light on, or be scared of jump scares, I’d avoid these games. You see some pretty messed up things as you progress through these games and I had my share of being scared while playing them.

There’s even an option that allows you to play as a child which makes it even scarier because there are things in these games that I wouldn’t let children play (sorry family-friendly gamers). The latest game is one of my favorites though and was very fun once you started playing it.

Re-playability (multiple difficulty levels, secrets, collectibles)

The replayability is fairly low. You can play it again and do better, but most people probably won’t. They might just move on to another game altogether, because they have played these types of games enough times already to know what will happen next, and being a fan of such games doesn’t keep them from wanting something new once in a while. The secrets are also few and far between since you don’t need any other type of collectible for 100% completion (only key cards), so you won’t be going out of your way to finding hidden spots or things that were left out purposely by accident.

Final thoughts on the game as a whole

Resident Evil 8 Village (RE8V) is an excellent addition to RE lore. Not perfect, but a solid entry that can be enjoyed by casual and hardcore fans alike. Capcom has been building up to something special with each new installment and with RE8 they’ve hit their stride. That being said, there are still some kinks in their execution; if you’re coming into RE8 as a die-hard fan looking for that visceral horror experience I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for. But if you’re expecting it to be your first foray into the franchise, then I would suggest starting with a different entry first (RE4 or even 1). Don’t get me wrong though, Resident Evil 8 is still a blast to play!

Resident Evil Village Download Pc Game System Requirements

To enjoy RE8, one needs a decent computer with specifications similar to those of gaming laptops; preferably an Nvidia card as opposed to AMD. The recommended system requirements are described in detail on Steam’s website, but I’ll summarize them here:

  • The operating system and processor must be 64-bit
  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 / Intel Core i5-7500
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB of memory / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB of memory
  • DirectX: Version 12

Resident Evil Village Download

The highest stakes game in Resident Evil history! The Las Plagas parasite has transformed most of Leon’s hometown into deformed creatures, including his beloved niece and nephew. Using an upgraded camera and new scanning features, players must detect where all enemies are located to clear out each area before facing off against Wesker himself. And that’s not all: a second scenario mode offers a parallel story of Ada Wong’s own battle to destroy Las Plagas once and for all with some help from your friend Sherry Birkin – daughter of William Birkin who was originally infected by a sample from Umbrella lab 20 years ago.

IGN rating for Resident Evil Village

7.9/10 – IGN praised Resident Evil Village for its well-thought-out gameplay but was disappointed with many of its older graphics. The resident evil village was awarded an Editors’ Choice award for having such a dynamic change in gameplay between campaigns and excellent sound design, which gave it a solid rating. IGN noted that despite receiving good reviews on all platforms, there were some glitches on both Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions because they are not optimized well enough. Although they are more than one year apart, they also compared both of these versions to their previous title, Resident Evil 6, which received mixed reviews due to its overused formula.
